Not sure what you mean by calibration here?
I created bespoke ICC profiles for several papers (see the full reviews for lots more about this, not the video overviews) and printed them from Photoshop and the Epson print software – I’ve no concerns whatsoever for the 900 or 700
However, I’m printing from an older Mac, not using latest software. So just because it’s perfectly OK for me…

Thanks! I read about calibration problems with these printers on DPreview when using Adobe software (PS/LR) with Epson pointing towards Adobe. Have you had any trouble using Adobe software and these printers?
