Keith notes…
The actual download speed is limited by the card itself, which for the fastest UHS-II cards is 312MB/s – for dual cards that’s 624MB/s or around half the maximum USB3.1 Gen 2 capacity. I use my reader via a USB 3 card in my Mac Pro. That has a ~640MB/s max rate, so two fast SD cards are still just about limited by card speed, even on my older kit. Of course, real world use with physically loading cards, and the software you use will all affect how fast you can get stuff from your cards. With this device, any bottle necks are not coming from the reader.

Keith has written a book that looks at the many ways that tilt/shift lenses can benefit your photography from a technical and creative point of view. If not in the UK check for import issues and maybe try an on-line bookshop. Keith has no connection with sales of the book.
