Review: Medium format fisheye
Looking at how I use fisheye lenses and how the Canon EF8-15mm F4L works on the 102MP medium format Fujifilm GFX100S. The lens is used with a Fotodiox adapter. Does medium format fisheye work with this camera?
The video looks at different ways of processing images and why fisheye lenses can be so useful.
The Canon EF 8-15mm f/4 L
I’ve a detailed review of this lens from when I first got it in 2011.
The lens is meant for a 36x24mm sensor, so even at 8mm, the circular image has a clear border on the 44×33 sensor of the GFX
At longer focal lengths there is still vignetting at the corners
Software correction
I’ve long used Fisheye Hemi to process images.
It needs a bit more care with the large sensor though. [Click to enlarge]
