I’ve used DxO for processing some of my RAW files for quite some time, and have been looking at the V6.5 update that has just been released.
I’m often looking to retain detail in skies and highlights which can easily push important detail into the shadows. I do sometimes use multiple exposure techniques, or multiple versions of the same RAW file to try and bring this detail back.
The latest version of DxO Optics Pro lets you try various processing options to produce a better looking image.

Two versions of image 'Normal' and 'HDR' processing
Whilst it can easily be overdone, it’s a useful tool if you only have the one photo. Conventional multishot HDR is not so easy if you have moving traffic in the view…
This update covers a number of other improvements (NR for example) so I’ve produced the short review update to go with our full DxO 6.2 review.
