64 bit comes from Nik Software

We’ve reviewed several Nik plugins in the past, and indeed Sharpener Pro 3 and Silver Efex Pro are two of the reasons I regularly work in CS5 on my Mac set to 32 bit mode.

Well at last I can comfortably switch to 64bit for a lot more of my work and make use of more memory when working on sets of large images.

Pricing and Availability

Free updates to 64-bit compatible versions are available now to registered owners of Dfine 2.0, Viveza 2, Color Efex Pro 3.0, Silver Efex Pro, and Sharpener Pro 3.0 via the company’s website: www.niksoftware.com. Customers who purchased the Complete Collection Ultimate Edition or the Complete Collection for Lightroom and Aperture may also receive the updates for free.

All products are now compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit image editing applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Photoshop Lightroom, and Apple Aperture. To review full system requirements, visit www.niksoftware.com/support.

Two plugins we’ve not covered yet are the new HDR software and Dfine for noise reduction – we hope to include these before too long.
