LargeSense monochrome 12MP sensor

It’s huge…

It may only have 12MP but those pixels are 75 microns across, which gives some interesting performance specs.

At only $106,000

Something you’ll only see here if Keith wins the lottery…

Upcoming Products

A 4×5 inch digital back, the LS45, is expected at the end of 2018.

The color version of the LS911 is expected in 2020.

LargeSense was founded in 2014 by Bill Charbonnet to manufacture single shot, large format digital cameras. Inspiration was from Mitchell Feinberg’s 8×10 digital back. The issue for a business in this tiny market is keeping costs low while delivering a specialty product. After 3 years of development, we are proud to be the first to offer such camera, the LS911!

An amusingly cheesy amateurish video, no offence intended to you, Holly. It all comes across as something he’s put together in his garage, like a schoolboy project, for me at least.

I can’t get my head around the gulf between the price tag and the lack of professionalism of the video. Credit to Bill for creating the beast though!
