Service manual, error codes and Maintenance tank reset on the Epson Stylus Pro 4000

More life for the maintenance tank in the SP4000 and printer fixes.

These procedures should be used with care!

When the maintenance tank for your SP4000 reads full, you can just put a new one in.

Why not reset it to get a bit more life (or to make it last until your spare maintenance tank is delivered)

Resetting the maintenance tank on the Stylus Pro 4000

The maintenance reset procedure for Epson Stylus Pro 4000.

  1. Turn off the printer
  2. Hold down the three leftmost arrow buttons [left-arrow] [down-arrow] [up-arrow]
  3. Turn on the printer
  4. Release the buttons
  5. A new menu will appear
  6. Press the up/down arrows to get to the "Clear Counters" menu
  7. Press RIGHT
  8. Press the up/down arrows to get the "Maintenance Tank" menu
  9. Clear the counter.
  10. Turn off printer.
  11. When you restart the printer, the maintenance tank should indicate 'Empty'
